Guyana's comprehensive cybercrime legislation enacted in 2018 to combat cybercrime by creating offences and providing for penalties, investigations and prosecution. Cybercrime offences include: illegal access, illegal interception, illegal data interference, illegal acquisition of data, illegal system interference, illegal devices, computer-related forgery, computer-related fraud, offences affecting critical infrastructure, identity-related offences, child pornography, and child luring. Aligned with CARICOM model legislation and the Budapest Convention framework. Enforced by the Guyana Police Force Cybercrime Unit.
