Peru's independent computer crime law enacted in October 2013, subsequently amended by Law No. 30171 (March 2014). Implements substantive provisions of the Budapest Convention (Peru ratified the Convention on 1 December 2019). Offences include: illegal access (Art. 2), attack against data integrity (Art. 3), attack against system integrity (Art. 4), solicitation of minors by technological means (Art. 5), illegal data trafficking (Art. 6), interception of computer data (Art. 7), computer fraud (Art. 8), identity theft (Art. 9), and misuse of devices (Art. 10). Also addresses child pornography under Art. 183-A of the Criminal Code. Authorises use of undercover agents for cybercrime investigations.
